About Us

The business was established in August 2004 by Mrs Valerie Chaplin, AICB, CB.Dip, PM.Dip and is continuing to grow every year. It is a member of The Institute of Certified Bookkeepers has links with several local accountancy practices including www.cliffordfryandco.com, www.donaldsonross.co.uk and www.artema.co.uk.

Gold Accounting is based in Alderholt near Fordingbridge, which is a small village between Ringwood, Hampshire and Salisbury, Wiltshire.

Valerie has over 20 years experience in Industry working for both small and medium size companies, concluding with the Management of a global software company trading all over Europe and the USA.

The last eight years have been spent gaining experience with accountancy practices on a self-employed basis. She has recently gained Practising Membership of The Institute of Certified Book Keepers (www.bookkeepers.org.uk) assuring you of her professionalism in this field.

The Team

Self Assessment, CIS and Management Accounts

Valerie, as the business owner, concentrates on Self Assessment Returns for many local businesses, is responsible for managing the Payroll Bureau side of the business, and travels onsite to many local businesses managing their Book Keeping, and VAT for them.

She can also process your CIS Administration, filing it online, issuing the sub-contractor statements, and advising you of the payments to be made to the Revenue within the set timescales.

Valerie has many years experience of Sage 50 Accounts, as well as experience of IRIS Paye-master, Iris Book Keeping, and Iris P11D.

Management Accounts information can be extracted from Sage and collated into Excel or produced in a PDF format for clients.

Training for all the software can be provided, on an hourly rate basis, or if required help to install your software .

Her links with several local accountancy practices built over the last few years, has resulted in her being recommended by practices in Ringwood and Salisbury as an approved book keeper.

Payroll Bureau

Gold Accounting Services operate a Payroll Bureau service for clients who like to outsource their Payroll offering a confidentiality that can often be lost when processed in house.

Payslips and payroll reports can be emailed direct to the client, enabling a quick turnaround, and the ability to review the information before the employee payments are made.

The software used has the ability to file directly to the HMRC website, earning your business the government incentive payments and has passed the Government Standards Kite mark for accuracy.

Online filing of starter and leaver information is also provided ensuring no loss of information to the Revenue in the post, and meeting Government requirements for small businesses, BEFORE they come into practice in 2011.

Book Keeping and Admin

Debbie manages the company book keeping and the growing client list, and has been  providing quality book-keeping with us since December 2007.

We are very pleased to announce that she has just passed  Level I The Certificate in Basic Bookkeeping with a 100% Distinction with the Institute of Certified Book Keepers.

We hope this shows our existing and prospective clients of our commitment to providing skilled and professional services.

Debbie has the ability to work onsite at the clients premises or from the Gold Accounting premises, and is available Monday to Thursday between 9.30am and 2.30pm.

She has good Sage 50 Accounts experience, good organisational skills, the ability to work alone, and is an invaluable member of our team.

No book keeping role is too small for Gold Accounting Services, and training in the use of Excel, Sage and/or Iris Software is available on request.

Gold Accounting Services are also members of the Sage Accountants Club and can often organise discounts of up to 20% on Software purchases.
